Strategic advisory support to the Mastercard Foundation across pivotal global health and economic transformation moments — positioning the Foundation at the intersection of youth employment, vaccine equity, and African health sovereignty.

UNGA – Saving Lives & Livelihoods | Africa Health Security & Sovereignty

At the United Nations General Assembly in New York, I provided senior strategic counsel to the Foundation’s Saving Lives and Livelihoods programme, supporting its positioning within the broader continental shift toward African-led health security. This included shaping the narrative architecture underpinning the launch of the Africa Health Security & Sovereignty (AHSS) Agenda in partnership with the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

The work focused on framing health security as a matter of sovereignty — strengthening domestic manufacturing, procurement, supply chains, and financing systems to reduce dependency on external actors, while safeguarding the continent against rising health threats.

Global Vaccine & Health Diplomacy Platforms

Across international vaccine congresses and high-level global health convenings, I delivered executive-level positioning and communications counsel to ensure strategic coherence across policy, philanthropy, and implementation partners. The emphasis was on elevating the Foundation’s role within global conversations on vaccine equity, pandemic preparedness, and long-term health systems resilience.

Communications Strategy Evolution

I advised on the refinement of the Foundation’s communications architecture to reflect a more integrated and future-facing narrative — aligning youth employment, entrepreneurship, and health systems strengthening within a single economic transformation story.

This included discreet senior counsel to leadership on message framing, institutional positioning, and reputational navigation in complex geopolitical environments.
